No later than April 15, 2015, the @tut.by mailbox will change its design, will become very similar to Yandex.Mail, but will continue to perform its previous functions with the same archive and the same folders.

What do you need to be prepared for?

There is no need to take any action if you:

  • Do not use email programs (MS Outlook, The BAT!, Android Mail, iPhone, Microsoft Outlook Mobile, etc.) to view TUT.BY mail;
  • You did not link the TUT.BY address on your Android smartphone (tablet) to your Google account (section "Settings - Account Google entry" - <…>@tut.by) ;
  • Did not use Google services using a Google account linked to TUT.BY mail (Calendar, Contacts, Google Drive, Google Play Store, etc.)

In all other cases, you need to prepare for the transition:

Please note that it is impossible to change your password using Yandex: all operations with passwords are carried out only on TUT.BY.

If you have chosen more than one recovery method, then any of these methods can be deleted. After deleting the answer to your security question this method recovery becomes unavailable in the future, while the backup address and phone number after deletion can be re-linked to the account. Each email address can be used as a backup for only one account on TUT.BY. Likewise: each phone number can only be associated with one account.

Deleting cookies

If, when logging in to the page http://mail.tut.by, a form opens on Yandex asking you to enter your login and password again, we recommend that you close the page, delete cookies (through your browser settings) and try again to open your mailbox from the http page: //mail.tut.by. Anti-spam filters may perceive your message as SPAM for many reasons. You can add a Tut.by or Rambler account to the standard iOS mail client “Mail” only by linking the server address. To do this, in the service selection window, click “Others”. In the menu that appears, enter your name, email and password.

If you encounter the error “The server rejected the recipient because. it does not allow relay" or "Relay error" in mail client, check that the information is filled in correctly.

As a final step, in the last settings menu that appears, we indicate those sections that we want to synchronize with the mail service (contacts, calendars, etc.), save all the settings made and check the operation of the mail. Also check that in the settings of your mail account, in the “outgoing mail” section, in the “primary server” item, the use of SSL is activated.
