- After formatting is completed, close this window.
- In the main window, set the recording method to "USB-HDD +", without changing all other parameters, click "Burn".
- Confirm the action by clicking on the "Yes" button.
- After that, UltraISO will start creating a bootable USB flash drive, wait for the process to finish. It usually lasts 5-30 minutes, it all depends on the speed of the drive and USB port to which it is connected.
After UltraISO finishes recording successfully Windows image, you can close the application and proceed with the installation.
By the way, some users simply extract all the files from the ISO image using an archiver and transfer them to a USB flash drive. I want to note right away that this method does not work and it will not work to boot from such a drive.
The method discussed above is universal and suitable for all versions of operating systems. Therefore, with its help, you can also burn the Windows 10 system image to a USB flash drive through the same UltraISO program.
The second way: when there is only a folder with installation files
If for some reason you do not have a boot image or CD with the operating system ready, but you do have a folder with installation Windows files, then you can create a bootable USB flash drive using them as a basis.
