Everyone knows that when a mobile phone is stolen or lost, Sim-ku needs to be blocked urgently. This must be done quickly so that criminals cannot reach their hands on your accounts. However, if the SIM card is planned to be turned off only for certain time, you can use the option to temporarily turn off the number. Today, any, even the smallest Russian television system (for example, Fly and Motive), offers users a similar service. From our review, you will learn how to block a SIM card of any Russian TV system temporarily or completely.

How to block a SIM card if you lost your phone?

To prevent thieves from using your assets, if you lose your cell phone, you need to immediately block the SIM card. This can be done at the nearest branch of your mobile provider. Going to the provider's branch, do not forget to take your passport and paper contract (if any) with you.

Important! When completely turned off, a lost sim card cannot be restored.

To save yourself from unauthorized withdrawal of money from your account, you can use any of the five methods presented. The card can be blocked temporarily or permanently. Someone else's SIM card can be turned off only if the authorized person has copies of the plaintiff's documents and a notarized letter signed by the card owner.

So, you can turn off the SIM card:

  • through a call to service number mobile operator;
  • at the cellular office;
  • through a voice assistant;
  • by sending a system request;
  • in your personal account.

Attention! To temporarily suspend the work of a SIM card, almost all of the above methods will do. A complete shutdown of the package can only be done at the official branch of the provider.

All Russian TV systems allow you to block a SIM card by calling free number customer support. However, before calling the customer service, prepare your passport in advance and remember the password word that you created when registering on the network. According to the laws of Russian telesystems, any operations with a subscriber account and a sim card can only be performed with the consent of the direct owner:

Support numbers:

  • MTS - 0890 (for mobile); 88002500890 (for any devices); +74957660166 (for roaming);
  • MegaFon - 0500 (for mobile phones); 88005500500 (for various devices); +79261110500 (for roaming);
  • Beeline - 0611 (for mobile phones); 88007000611 (for any direction);
  • Tele2 - 611 (single phone); 84959797611 (for various operators);
  • Iota - 88005500007;
  • Motive - 111 (in the provider's network); 8 800-240-0000 (for various destinations);
  • Fly - 8432222222 (single phone number); +7 902 718-22-68 (Whatsapp).

Through the office

Switching off the SIM card can be done in the service department of the operator. To do this, you must have a passport and a paper contract (if any). When contacting any communication salon (whether it be MTS, Beeline, etc.), you are guaranteed to receive high-quality assistance.

Blocking a SIM card through the specified service is available only from the MTS operator. Through the service, you can order the service "Voluntary blocking". After it is turned on, the SIM card becomes inactive, the accrual and debiting of the monthly fee is suspended.

Enabling and disabling the option is provided free of charge. In addition, for the first two weeks, no fee is charged for using the service. In the future, you will need to pay 1 ruble / day for the option. The entire amount will be debited from the subscriber's balance as soon as he turns on his SIM-ku.

  • to activate the service, dial 1116 on your mobile phone, and then follow the prompts;
  • You can remove the restriction through your personal account, office center or by calling MTS technical support.

This lock is done over the phone, so it won't work if your mobile device is stolen. Only two telesystems, MTS and Megafon, provide this option.

  • to turn off the MTS card, send the digital command * 111 * 157 # from your mobile phone. You can remove the restriction in the service department of the provider, in your personal account or by calling the Call Center;
  • you can turn off the sim card on Megafon by sending SMS to 0500. SMS should contain the following text: “Please turn off (reason for disconnection), (SIM card number), full name, subscriber's passport data.” Reactivation is carried out through the above services.

You can block Sim-ku on the official website of the operator itself. However, this method of turning off sims online (via the Internet) is only suitable for users registered on the network.

The blocking algorithm will be identical for all mobile operators:

  • log in to your profile and press the “Block” button (located in the lower corner home page). If there is no such button, press the "Settings" key and then select the "Lock" key;
  • then select the item "Voluntary blocking" and confirm your action.

You can re-enable the SIM card using any of the above methods.
