Unsurpassed compactness. These days, holding a smartphone with one hand and effortlessly reaching any corner with your thumb is a huge convenience and advantage! Fits in any, I emphasize, absolutely any pocket, so much so that you don’t even notice. - Reliable, durable, well-knocked pebble! Not a 5" record that you're afraid to bend or lay down carelessly. It’s easy to throw it on the sofa, it’s not a pity to accidentally drop it, it withstood it more than once and proved to be a strong fellow. - Works stably, if not overloaded. - Screen with good colors. And most importantly - the sensor responds very well. On a small keyboard, even without a swipe, I type with my thumb hoo, comparable to big screens, and all thanks to the clarity and precision of the touch display. - The bundled headset is much better

the price is just for homeless people like me assembly with a bang, so the phone does not take strength, it fell on everything in the world and every time the sound remained intact; with the active use of Wi-Fi or mobile Internet, it lives for at least 12 hours, easily native launcher, specifically its appearance never gets bored and makes me happy every day

Affordable price. + Unrealistically strong case! + Charging holds up to 7 days in standby mode - alarm clock - standby! Over the years up to 4.5-5 days. If you use it in active mode (VK, Insta, WhatsApp, conversations, etc.), then it keeps charging for 2-2.5 days, after 2.5 years of use 1.5-2 days. + Sound quality + Excellent microphone + Indicator of messages (not only SMS, but also from VK!), Missed calls, discharge and charge. + High sensitivity + Turns off like a TV, which, in my opinion, is sooo cool;) + In my hands, he is alive (Read the comment, my phones die on the day of purchase, but here ... I am very pleased with the purchase!) + The backlight is not only the screen, but also the buttons - lovely. + Calmly pulls MMOs played with GooglePlay

    1. A good compact phone 2. It works fine 3. I dropped it more than once and everything is fine alive (tfu-tfu) 4. The network catches normally, I know that Sony's more expensive models have a problem with poor communication, but this one catches everything fine

This smartphone cannot boast of an ultra camera or super power, but it is solid and hardly lags at its 800 MH. The battery is also powerful enough, with 4 hours of wi fi distribution, 40% of the charge remained on it. But with its thickness it is easy to feel in your pocket

    Camera and viewing angles

    1. Stability of work, even if slightly loaded, out ... 2. Small, bespontovy display. 3. Weak percent and operatives are sorely lacking. 4. Camera. It's best not to run it.

The sensor after 4 years of use is buggy specifically, in bad weather it is impossible to dial a number or just dig into the phone, the buttons switch by themselves

Weak hardware, RAM is sorely lacking for full-fledged work (heavy browsers and sites slow down (Puffin helps out), I’m silent about modern games, and I don’t need it on such a screen). In the bright summer sun, the screen fades, something can only be distinguished at maximum brightness. The screen, if you hold it a little in the wind or frost, begins to live its own life. Four sound. C grade camera with a slight minus. Shoot a schedule, a document with a small font, or a portrait with a landscape in the style of oil painting :)

the camera is soapy and not suitable for photographing texts (however, if you cheat with the white balance and capture some kind of street landscape, it will turn out quite picturesque: h) during use, there are frequent lags and small freezes (for me they turned out to be tolerable, but this is still a minus, so I'm writing here) there is little memory, including RAM, there are a couple of applications that cannot be deleted, and which I never use .. they annoy with their existence in my comfortably equipped menu (

The camera really sucked. Soapy. - At the back, a convex green thing, like a strass, flew out of me on the very first day I put on the cover. - When you stand under a downpour or under a snow blizzard, the screen lags. You have to wipe it with your sleeve very often. (Sorry to all technology lovers =D)

Introduction

Sony releases many devices with a similar design, which can be called borrowed from the Xpreia S. At the same time, the company is trying to create other devices, at least in terms of design, such as the ST21i. After the introduction of Xperia on the market, the manufacturer was faced with the fact that the company had one new device and another one that was more expensive. Variations of these devices do not attract special attention, but followed by the ST21i.

This device is very different not only in size and design, but also in price, it is positioned as a replacement for the Xperia Mini / Xperia Mini Pro, although the latter use much better materials, iron - for their time. The ST21i is Sony's attempt to lure consumers with a low price tag, offering Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, but forgetting the two-year-old hardware platform, cheap and small screen, which are just workable.

Design, dimensions, controls

Finally, Sony decided to show a phone that is not a cheap replica of the Xperia S design. The design of the ST21i is simple, there is nothing superfluous in it, except for one detail - the recess under the touch keys at the bottom of the case. The size of the phone is small for most people and will fit perfectly in any pocket. The weight of the phone is well balanced, it doesn't feel light or cheap, but it's not heavy either. The back wall is made of fairly thick plastic, it is a soft touch, there is no feeling of cheapness. The only thing that betrays the budget nature of this phone is the screen. Its protective plastic looks cheap, however, the resolution and picture quality are disappointing.

Despite its price tag, the ST21i leaves a much better impression of materials and design than older models like the Xperia U.

On the front surface of the device, the main part is occupied by the screen, under it there are three touch keys. Despite the fact that ICS is inside, these keys were left due to the low resolution. There is also a proximity sensor and a light indicator, both hidden behind dark plastic and almost invisible.

On the left side of the device is a microUSB connector, it is used both for charging and for connecting to a PC. On the right side are the volume keys and a small strap hole. The on/off button is located on the top, along with a 3.5 mm headphone jack. At the bottom there is a recess to open the back cover. On the back surface, you can see the main speaker, as well as a 3-megapixel camera.

Display

Considering that this model is budget, you should not expect much from the screen. Standard HVGA screen (320x480 pixels) with acceptable color reproduction, dominated by blue tint. Here we must make an important remark. Sony is updating current devices to ICS and now, on devices with a similar screen resolution, this version of Android is not yet used by Sony. In this regard, some controls are rendered clumsily, but this will be fixed later. I would like the screen to be more responsive when touched, but for a budget product, everything is acceptable here.

Despite the presence of an automatic light indicator, there is no such option in the settings. It is possible that it will appear with a firmware update of the phone.

Battery

The phone uses a well-known BA-700 battery with a capacity of 1450 mAh. Since this device is still under development, it makes little sense to measure the duration of work from a single charge. But based on the experience of previous models and the corresponding hardware, we can assume that the device will easily work for about two days.

Communications

All usual and traditional communications are presented in the phone.

Bluetooth. Version 2.1, A2DP and a number of other profiles are also supported

WiFi. The usual protocol is 802.11 b/g, no problems have been noticed, the device can be used as an access point.

USB. You can connect your phone to a PC, but so far only the MTP standard is supported.

Memory, platform

The phone has 512 MB random access memory and almost 3 GB of internal storage for your files. Unlike older models, there is a slot for memory cards, and you can install a card of any size.

The device uses a Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset with an ARM11 processor with a frequency of 800 MHz and a rather old Adreno 200 graphics accelerator. There are no problems running pre-installed programs, but trying to open a heavy web page or launch Angry Birds Space will not lead to anything. This phone is designed to be used only with standard applications or not too heavy.

Camera

Regular 3-megapixel camera, no autofocus. The photo quality is good enough for social networks, but when viewed on a computer, you will see all the flaws in the picture. It is possible to record video, but the maximum resolution is 640x480 pixels, the quality also leaves much to be desired. The camera interface is familiar from other products of the company, but there are no complex functions, since the camera is budget.

Software

This is the first sony phone in the budget segment and with hardware that is already two years old, but working with ICS. IN this moment the phone is under development, and therefore it is impossible to say that nothing will change. Much will change and it is not worth evaluating the device. The main thing is that the ICS version works acceptable on older hardware, although it does not support "heavy" applications.

Conclusion

The phone has no problems with call quality, speaker volume is excellent and sometimes even excessive.

The role of this device in Sony's lineup is interesting, it doesn't share the design with other models that originated from the Sony Xperia S. The company is trying to use the fact that the production in Asia or China does not mean a low quality device. Compared with ZTE phones, at Sony are able to achieve best quality at a lower price (still can). Having received from Sony Ericsson as a legacy of the software development team, as well as interfaces, Sony can install a different shell on their phones or make it more attractive, which is not available to Chinese companies. Due to this, the company can win in the budget segment.

For a price of 200 euros at launch, this phone remains expensive for most users. For a little less money you can buy samsung galaxy Ace, built on the same hardware, but with better body materials and a slightly larger and the best screen. It's very important for Sony to be the first company to bring Ice Cream Sandwich to the budget segment, and it's important to try and make a profit out of it. Whether this will be possible, we will find out in the very near future. It is possible that someone will be able to overtake Sony in this field.

The highest acceptable SAR value in the US is 1.6 W/kg per gram of human tissue. This value is set by the FCC, and the CTIA controls whether mobile devices comply with this standard.

0.74 W/kg (watt per kilogram)

Currently, mobile devices are produced in most cases with two SIM cards. This solution allowed users not only to give up the second phone, but also significantly save on the cost of communication services. There are situations when you need to make a call to a subscriber who uses another mobile operator. Naturally, this has been a problem in the past. However, with the advent of the Dual models, everything has changed for the better.

It will no longer be possible to surprise buyers with such devices, since the market is simply full of them. Many people pay attention not only to the number of slots for sim cards, but also to other criteria. An important role is played by performance, design, duration battery life and other characteristics.

In this article, the reader will be able to get acquainted in detail with such an apparatus as Sony smartphone Xperia Tipo. Though this model appeared on sale four years ago, but still it is of interest to a certain category of users.

So, let's start reviewing the opening Sony models ST21i2 of the Xperia line. We would like to draw the readers' attention to the fact that the information presented in the article is also relevant for the Sony ST21i. The differences between them are only in the number of slots for sim-cards.

Release of a new model

In 2012, Sony decided to open up a new segment of dual SIM mobile devices. It is surprising that its activities have always been successful and active, but for some reason, for a long time, developers ignored the introduction of new technologies. But it was no longer possible to delay further, as competitors supplied innovative smartphones to the market in full. The company began to debut with a budget model Sony Xperia Dual tipo. How successful this decision was, we will understand in this article.

In fairness, it is worth noting that the novelty has created a kind of hype. Since its release, the model has become a popular review topic. They focused on a large number of advantages.

Success came almost immediately after the start of sales. The indisputable advantages of the model were low price, well-chosen materials, build quality and, of course, the highest quality matrices for cameras, which at that time had no analogues on the market.

Design

The Sony Xperia Tipo phone is small in size. Almost all of it fits in the palm of your hand. Externally, the case looks pretty soundly. It is made of plastic coated with paint. However, from afar, it can easily be confused with metal.

As soon as the buyer takes the device in hand, the flaws are revealed. The first thing that becomes noticeable is the thickness. It is 13 mm, while the length and width of the case are only 103 and 57 mm, respectively. Because of this, the device can be safely called thick, since thin ones include those in which the indicator does not exceed 8-9 mm. And if you also take into account the fashion for tight trousers, then this can become a big problem.

Concerning ease of use, users have a lot of controversy. Most argue that due to the beveled corners and the rather slippery surface of the case, the phone constantly “strives to jump out” of the hand, and this drawback manifests itself both during a call and when scrolling. But there is also such a category of owners for whom weight and massiveness have become advantages. It is impossible to draw unambiguous conclusions on the level of convenience, since there is a factor of individuality here.

Smartphone Sony Xperia Tipo for the domestic buyer was supplied in two colors - black and silver. Due to the compact size, the manufacturer had to place the SIM and memory card slots directly under the battery. Although this is a weightless drawback, it can still cause inconvenience to the user.

The front panel has a standard set of elements. This speaker, capacitive screen, touch control buttons, proximity sensor. The brand name flaunts at the top, and a logo at the bottom, indicating belonging to the Xperia line.

There is also nothing original on the back cover. Like other models, the camera lens is removed. It is slightly off center to the left. At the bottom there is a white-green corporate logo, the name of the line and the output speaker are duplicated. The microUSB port is located on the left side face, on the opposite side there is a rocker-shaped volume control key, a hole for a cord and a button for working with SIM cards. The microphone is brought to the bottom end, and the headphone jack - to the top. Next to it is an on/off button.

Sony Xperia Tipo specifications

Before delving into the description of the Tipo smartphone, let's look at the main characteristics.

  • The body is a monoblock.
  • Type - smartphone with touchscreen.
  • Networking - WCDMA/HSPA and GSM/GPRS/EDGE.
  • The radio module is one.
  • Platform at the time of release - android version 4.0.
  • Processor model - Qualcomm MSM7225AA.
  • Memory: built-in - 4 GB, operational - 512 MB.
  • Memory card - up to 32 GB, type - microSD.
  • The display diagonal is 3.2ʺ.
  • Screen resolution - 480×320 px.
  • GPU - Adreno 200.
  • Data transfer - microUSB 2.0, Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n), Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.
  • Rechargeable battery - 1500 mAh.
  • Camera matrix - 3.2 MP.
  • Video recording - VGA.

Screen

What image will please the buyer of Sony Xperia Tipo Dual? The characteristics of the display can hardly be called impressive. The screen diagonal is small - only 3.2ʺ. However, this is to be expected, since the model has a fairly compact size. The resolution is critically low by modern standards, it is 480×320 px. The number of pixels per inch is 180 ppi. The image is grainy, even "cubes" are visible.

The device is equipped with a TFT-matrix. The display is capable of displaying 262,000 colors. A significant advantage of the device was the multi-touch technology for two simultaneous touches. It is also worth noting the presence of acrylic glass, which performs a protective function. According to the manufacturer, neither chips nor scratches are terrible for him.

The screen is quite typical for representatives of the line of the budget segment. No big expectations should be placed on him. The image will not differ much from push-button phone models.

CPU

What performance can a Sony Xperia Tipo owner expect? Unfortunately, in this matter, as well as with the display, one should not expect high performance. The Qualcomm MSM7225AA processor is rather weak. Its work is provided by a single core with clock frequency 800 MHz. This characteristic makes it clear that the Tipo model is a typical "state employee". The main functions work quickly, bugs are not noticed by the user. However, there are significant limitations in functionality - the device is not able to cope with resource-intensive applications. For example, when you start a mid-level game, freezes begin, and using several at once is out of the question. Such tasks Sony Xperia Tipo is beyond the power.

Offline work

An important indicator of a mobile device is the battery life. It is difficult to call the Xperia Tipo a long-lived model. Unfortunately, the battery is also not included. strengths devices. Its capacity is only 1500 mAh. By modern standards, this figure seems simply ridiculous. However, for battery life, a weak processor and screen have become advantages. Due to the fact that they do not use large resources, the device can work for about 2-3 days with an average load.

What numbers does the manufacturer indicate? In standby mode, the battery will only run out after 15 days. Those who like to talk on the phone for a long time need to be prepared for the fact that they will have to charge it once every 5 hours with a continuous conversation. As music player the device is able to work up to 35 hours, and in video mode - up to 8 hours.

Camera

The manufacturer, when releasing the Sony Xperia Tipo model, did not focus on the camera. The device is equipped with a 3.2-megapixel matrix. There is no autofocus and no flash, so you can't count on high-quality pictures. In the photo, the text is almost unreadable, the balance of colors and clarity of the image also leaves much to be desired.

What would such a camera be good for? Users claim that the quality of the pictures is only suitable for installation in the phone book of the subscriber. An acceptable photo is obtained if it is taken in fairly good lighting and at close range. Another disadvantage is the lack front camera, so making video calls will be extremely inconvenient using the rear.

Memory

An important performance criterion is the amount of RAM. Considering that the weak processor was used in the model, one cannot count on a high indicator of this characteristic. "RAM" is only 512 MB. This is sufficient to work with simple applications offered by Android, but the complex tasks are beyond the power of the device.

The manufacturer in the instructions states that the amount of built-in memory is 4 GB. However, not all of them are available to the user. files operating system about half already taken. Of course, this significantly reduces the possibilities, but do not get upset ahead of time. The developers have provided a slot for a memory card. The maximum amount of removable media should not exceed 32 GB.

Sony Xperia Tipo reviews

So what do buyers think of the device? Those lucky ones who bought a smartphone immediately after its release paid about 6 thousand rubles for it. There are many laudatory reviews on the network, indicating an ideal value for money. Of course, at present, the characteristics of this model are already far behind modern requirements, but users call this device a hardy “workhorse”.
