There is no information about the technical equipment of the novelty yet, however, according to the company's management, all data on the world's first absolutely frameless smartphone from Sharp will be disclosed as part of the MWC 2018 exhibition (Mobile World Congress), which will be held from February 26 to March 1 next of the year. The entire event will take place in Barcelona, that is, in the very center of Europe, thanks to which journalists from all over the world will be able to personally get acquainted with the novelty.
In addition, it is already known that in addition to the absolutely frameless smartphone created this year, Sharp intends to bring to this exhibition other mobile devices with slightly less interesting technical equipment. One of the novelties will be a phone with the model name Sharp FS8018, which was spotted in the Geekbench benchmark a few weeks ago, thanks to which its technical characteristics became known.
The Sharp FS8018 smartphone is credited with an 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of permanent flash memory, a connector USB Type-C, as well as the Android 7.1 Nougat operating system, which was installed on it at the time of testing. By the time of the announcement at the MWC 2018 exhibition at the end of February, all Sharp smartphones should already work on Android 8.1 Oreo, which Google did not so long ago.
The main question is how much a completely frameless Sharp smartphone will cost. Typically, unfortunately, the cost mobile devices with such features, it often turns out to be indecently high, so it may well turn out that the new product will cost even more than $1,500 (90,000 rubles).

Of course, with the modern development of the Internet, it is not so difficult to order and bring a Sharp smartphone (and not only Sharp, but also other Japanese companies) directly from the Land of the Rising Sun, but since these devices are “sharpened” for a specific Japanese market, it is often there were problems with unlocking and adapting such smartphones. So, truly Japanese models have not been sold here before - do not consider Sony devices as such, which, in essence, are quite European smartphones created by ex-engineers of Sony Ericsson.

In 2012, Sharp's management decided to bring their smartphones to the markets of other countries, and Russia is the first on their list. However, this is not surprising, because, unlike most European countries, we do not link smartphones to operators - sales are carried out by independent distributors. First, let's talk about three smartphones based on the MediaTek MTK6577 platform - these are Sharp SH530U, Sharp SH631W and Sharp SH837W. All these devices run on Android 4.0, and will be upgradeable to version 4.1.

Note that the device does not have a slot for memory cards: the developers considered that the 20 GB available to the user is quite enough (although we do not agree with this). Now a few words about Sharp SH837W. In fact, this smartphone can be considered the "big brother" Sharp SH631W: it differs slightly for the better. The same dual-core processor runs at 1.2 GHz, and the RAM is twice as much - 1 GB. The main camera remains the same - 8 megapixels, but the front camera has improved markedly - 1.3 megapixels versus 0.3 megapixels. The screen is definitely better here: a 4.7-inch display with an IPS-matrix Sharp Mobile has a diagonal of 4.7 inches and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels - this is HD 720p format.
A more capacious battery (1,900 mAh instead of 1,650 mAh) will ensure the operation of the smartphone for about a day - after all, the HD screen has become more energy-intensive. The internal memory in the Sharp SH837W remains the same - 4 GB, and there is also a 16 GB microSDHC memory card included. All these changes did not affect the price very significantly: they will ask for about 17 thousand rubles for the Sharp SH837W.
Finally, let's talk about the flagship - Sharp Aquos Phone SH930W. The characteristics of the device meet modern standards: a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 (MSM8260A) dual-core processor is installed with clock frequency 1.5 GHz. The amount of RAM - 2 GB, internal memory in the device - 32 GB. We think that this place is quite enough for the average user, so we will not consider the lack of a slot for memory cards as a disadvantage. There is much less internal memory here - 4 GB, but it is possible to use microSDHC cards, and a 16 GB card is included in the kit. The screen has a slightly smaller diagonal - 4.5 inches, but the resolution is higher - 960 x 540 pixels. By the way, the display with IPS-matrix Sharp Mobile is produced in-house by the company. It should also be noted that the camera is quite decent, its resolution is 8 megapixels. The price of the smartphone is expectedly higher - less than 14,000 rubles. 
The Sharp SH837W was made even more powerful. There is a 4.7-inch Sharp Mobile screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels - HD 720p standard. The dual-core processor operates at a frequency of 1.2 GHz, the amount of RAM has doubled - 1 GB. Own memory is 4 GB, plus a complete card for 16 GB. Front-camera Sharp SH837W has a resolution of 1.3 megapixels, and the main one is 8 megapixels. The approximate price of the device is about 16,500 rubles. 
All three smartphones have the same hardware platform - the MediaTek MTK6577. In addition, they all support 3G, GPS, and have bluetooth modules 4.0. The Android 4.0 operating system will later be upgraded to version 4.1.
